Black olives pinwheels!

Girelle sfogliate bicolore

ingredienti:
500 g pasta sfoglia pronta
(gluten free: here)
180 g olive nere denociolate, scolate
50 g prosciutto cotto
1 cucchiaio olio d'oliva
1/3 cucchiaino aglio in polvere
1/2 cucchiaio prezzemolo freso trittato

This year, it was very unusual for me to have all that free time, preparing only the desserts for the party. In the holly days I usually have a very busy mornings because in a few hours I'm cooking an entire lunch menu while I'm cleaning the entire house, preparing myself (make up, washing my hair, taking a shower....) You can imagine what a stressing days are these for me! Well, this time after being invited in my sister in low home for the celebrating lunch I had enough time to take care for myself. And when I finished with the beauty preparations I couldn't just stay with doing nothing. I decided to make something fast and easy to bring to the party as a savory appetizer. I remembered that in the Bulgarian forum "Cook with me" a few months ago I have seen some very interesting appetizer recipes. So, I've reconnected to the forum, where I'm a member since the February this year. I gave a fast look to the recipes when at last my eyes remain on the Yoli's recipe for the "Puff black penwheels" and I imediately thought: "That's what I'll do"! While the almonds for the Rosita squares were boiling I decided to prepare this delicious appetizer:

Puff Black Pinwheels

ingredients:
500 g ready puff pastry
(gluten-free: here)
180 g black olives, drined and nuts removed
50 g cooked ham
1 tbsp olive oil
1/3 tsp garlic powder
1/2 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped

You can't imagine how easy it is to prepare this delicious pinwheels! Just remove the puff pastry from the confection box and roll it onto theworking surface. Leave it there on a room temperaturewhile you prepare the filling.
Combine all ingredients for the filling into the food processor and blend until all is reduced into a puree consistency. Spread that black cream over the puff pastry and roll into a stretch swissroll. Roll with a silver foil, close well the ends and put into the freezer for at least 50 minutes. Meanwhile I was preparing the sweets, so I left the roll in there some minute more.
Turn on the oven to 350°F. Line a cooking sheet with a baking paper.
Take the roll fromthe freezer and remove the silver foil. Very fast, cut the roll into a 1/2 cm thin rounds. Keep a clean nupkin near by yourside, so you can fast remove the black cream from the knife a few times while you cut the roll. Transfer the rounds onto the prepared baking sheet. Bake in the preheated oven until lightly brown and crispy, about 20-25 minutes.
Allow to cool some minute into the sheet, then arrange into the serving plate. Keep them into the warm and turned off oven, with the door lightly open until the serving time.

You can find another gluten free puff pastry recipe in the Italian forum
"Cooking with a sympathe" posted by Olgha with step by step pictures. She is an emaising cook, which hands are able to turn each normal recipe into a completely allergy free miracle! No one recipe is difficult for her and all other women who post their original recipes in that forum.
